Samus Aran is the female bounty hunter who stars in the Metroid series. She is notable for being among the first female protagonists in video game history, although players did not discover this until the end of the first Metroid where she removed her helmet or armor at the end of the game.
Samus Aran has starred in a series of eight games with one spinoff and a remake.She is constantly locked in a battle against the Space Pirates and the titular enemies of the series, the Metroids. Only she with her Chozo-designed Power Suit can take on the enemies of the Federation and maintain peace in the galaxy.
