Sumin

Sumin is an unusual member of the group in that he was not among Olimar's Pikmin. His history is vague, but he was likely a Blue Pikmin that wondered into an underground cave and fell into a purple Candypop Bud located on a small island. He somehow managed to pull himself out of the ground and started a new life on the island, soaking up spicy nectar and shamefully eating bits of clover to survive.

He came across Wulfmin's group when Arrmin inadvertently was stranded on Sumin's island. The two became friends and Sumin helped them out of the cave. But since the flower was gone and he now had a bridge leading to his island, Sumin ended up following the other Pikmin out of the cave. Later on, his habit of eating clovers was instrumental in saving the other Pikmin when they began to collapse from starvation.

Trivia

• Sumin receives his name from "Sumo", a type of fighting style involving large overweight combatants - much like Purple Pikmin.
