Kanenobu is the son of Murasame and is noted by his burned face. How exactly he received his scar varies with each timeline, though its never explained in any of them.

Background

He was born during Murasame's marriage to Kaminaru during their marriage in Japan. However being an evil sword spirit, the marriage was short lived and Kanenobu was raised by his mother, though they later moved to America.

Good Timeline

Kanenobu is mentioned in Gamehiker Member OG X as being missing. He is later seen to be a member of Big Al's fourth grade class.

In GMOG Holiday Special: Happy Father's Day, Masa!, his daughter Kikuichimonji appears in an orphanage run by Donkeyman. It is unknown what happened to Kanen.

Neutral Timeline

Following the world's apparent apocalypse, Kanenobu becomes the leader of the Korevian Army in Lost Vegas. His father's old reptilian minions now work for Kanen and he is closely aided by his second-in-command, Lt. Daira.

Bad Timeline

Living in a world ruled by an assortment of evil people made for a rough life for him and when his mother died, he ended up being raised by Chief Sigmund of the Talon Police. For a time he served under his adoptive father as a policeman, but after an accident that left him scarred, he struck out as a mercenary. He also married at some point and together they had Kikuichimonji.

In the year 2030, he joined Rhyk's version of The Third Generation to get revenge on the people who killed his father, though primarily he hopes to find his missing wife.

• Kanenobu is a name for another famous sword, though unlike his predecessors, his sword is a normal one and has no special properties.
