Background[edit]

Clyde is the head of Legion and is bent on taking over the Universe. Apparently Clyde has had some run-ins with his rival, Doc Hatchet, and it is unknown why he hates Hatchet or what Hatchet has done to him. Clyde used to be a scientist in Rapture's Soldier program and helped Ryan when Fontane attacked the city. After the battle, Clyde drafted Kane into Legion and sent him on a mission to track Nintendofreak/Rocky.

Rapture[edit]

Clyde is seen throughout What Lies Beneath, keeping an eye on his enemies. After Director revealed himself as Fontane, Clyde persuaded Rocky to join Legion. During the events of Rapture, Clyde seemed very helpful and focused on protecting Rapture, but it was really a sham to find out where Rapture's ultimate weapon was. After Rocky engaged Fontane, Clyde dispatched Kane to secure the weapon, after Rocky pressed the self-destruct button, Legion escaped with a large bio-mechanic weapon which they dubbed MG-L.

The War[edit]

Three years after What Lies Beneath, Clyde has become a powerful dictator, and Legion has grown into a gargantuan army. Using his resources and power, he unlocked long forgotten secrets and power from the center of the Universe. Upon fusing with it, Clyde became a Demigod and used this power to expand his empire further, and even destroy the already dying Earth.

Traits[edit]

In What Lies Beneath, Clyde appears as a slim, blonde-haired young man who always wears purple sunglasses. Three years after Rapture was destroyed, Clyde has aged into a fairly large and muscular dictator. Clyde has no pupils and a demonic arm which he hides in his cape.

Quotes[edit]

"Clyde: Hello Sna-HOLY SHOE IT'S KANE!!!" - What Lies Beneath

Trivia[edit]

The idea of Young Clyde was inspired by Liquid Snake, several rich guy stereo-types and an "ultimate evil" character that gets others to do his dirty work. Elder Clyde was inspired by Sir Crocodile of One Piece
