Accelgor is a speedy insect-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the evolved form of Shelmet.
Information[edit]
Accelgor evolves from a Shelmet that has been traded for a Karrablast. The mysterious electrical energy which triggers both Pokémon's evolutions causes Shelmet to lose its shell, which causes it to become Accelgor. The shell goes to Karrablast as it becomes Escavalier. Without the shell, Accelgor is very light and fast. It is capable of fighting enemies with ninja-like movements. It becomes weakened when its body dries out, and because of this it wraps itself in many layers of thin membrane to stave off dehydration.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
Accelgor has not been found in the wild and can only be obtained by evolving a Shelmet.
Trivia[edit]
- Its name is a play on "accelerate" (referring to its speed), possibly combined with "escargot" (the French word for "snail").
