The Bumbling Snitchbug is a variant of the Swooping Snitchbug, only it targets Captain Olimar and Louie instead.

Information

A variety of Snitchbugs that is considered reckless due to its habit of targetting leaders. While this at first appears to be a sound strategy, the fact that leaders are hard to defeat renders this strategy ineffective. If it does manage to catch one, it can deal serious damage to its victim. But, according to Olimar, anyone caught by such a creature is 'clearly an idiot'.

Although pikmin cannot battle them on their own, the help of one of the captains makes Snitchbugs a cinch to defeat. They simply need to throw pikmin on top of the creature until enough will weight it down that it will collapse on the ground. Like its cousing, the Swooping Snitchbug, it uses its mishapen antennae to propel itself in the air. It is not necessarily heavy itself, since three pikmin can manage to carry it.

• The Bumbling Snitchbug can be carried by three pikmin, and is worth four pokos.
• Louie's Cooking Notes: Remove the wings and discard the remainder of the beast. Enjoy the luxurious, wafer-thin wings with fine water-dumple caviar.
