Cherrim is a blooming flower-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It is the evolved form of Cherubi. Cherrim notably has two different forms that are dependent on the weather.

Information[edit]

Cherrim evolves from Cherubi at Level 25. Its default form resembles a flower bud, at which point it is docile. During sunny weather, the bud blooms into a pink leaf-covered creature. The bloomed form of Cherrim is much more active and cheerful. At this time they try to make up for everything they endured as a bud. Cherrim eventually reverts into a Cherubi when the sunlight wanes.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In most games, Cherrim could only be obtained by evolving a Cherubi. In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, it could be uncommonly found at Route 12.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Cherrim could be recruited at the first nine floors of Treeshroud Forest. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it was found at Peril Cliffs. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, it appeared at Latolato Trail. Cherrim also appeared in Pokémon Rumble at Windy Prairie.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • Cherrim have made mostly minor appearances in the Pokémon anime during the Sinnoh series. A newscaster dressed as one in one episode, and Cherrim was shown as one of Lila's Pokémon in another episode.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Gardenia gave a Cherrim to Platina near the end of the Diamond/Pearl arc. She later used it during the Platinum arc.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name seems to be a combination of "cherry" (mostly due to its predecessors' resemblance to cherries) and "blossom" (since blossoming is one of the Pokémon's main features).
