Dragon Chan is a boxer appearing as an enemy in several Punch-Out!! games, who is known for his unorthodox fighting style.
Background[edit]
Dragon Chan is a kick boxer (despite kicking being prohibited in normal boxing) who is not afraid to use other styles in order to ensure victory. Although there are portions of matches where he will fight normally, he will often break out out into flying kicks across the ring, some of which are powerful enough to result in one-hit KOs. Ducking is usually the only useful strategy in evading his kicks.
In Super Punch-Out!! for the arcade, he is the second opponent battle and is ranked the Champion of Hong Kong. Dragon also appears in the SNES Super Punch-Out!!, where is the #2 ranked fighter in the Major Circuit. He also has a meditation ability which allows him to regain health, and he is aided by his own coach who speaks only in Chinese.
Trivia[edit]
- He is designed as an homage to legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, although his name is in reference to fellow famous martial artist Jackie Chan.
- In the Super NES game, Heike Kagero is his palette swap.
