Waddle Dee is a type of recurring creature within the Kirby series. Since the original Dream Land, Waddle Dees have most commonly appeared as the most basic enemy of the franchise. They are mostly harmless, but there have been multiple variations. The most common is the Parasol Waddle Dee, which glides around with a parasol. They are also related to the Waddle Doo, a one-eyed version that fires beams. Waddle Dees appear to be carefree creatures, but they are most often shown to be under the rulership of King Dedede and appear to be his primary subjects.

Waddle Dees have also made several appearances as playable characters, being partners in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. The latter game featured a distinctive appearance for the Waddle Dee character, who wore a blue bandana and wielded a spear. Waddle Dees were also prominent in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where they were associated with Dede.
