Diddy Kong is the Chimp sidekick of Donkey Kong that was first introduced in Donkey Kong Country. After his first tussle with the Kremling army, he returned in Diddy's Kong Quest as the protagonist of his own game. He eventually even received his own title with Diddy Kong Racing which starred him and a host of new friends racing around in karts, planes, and boats to reach first place.

He has since appeared alongside Donkey Kong in various other games, such as Donkey Kong 64 and DK: Jungle Climber. His reach has even expanded into Mario games with his debut in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and has since made an appearance in every other sports outing. In March 2008, Diddy Kong will make his Smash debut in Super Smash Bros. Brawl where he'll use his Peanut Popguns and Rocketbarrel to blast the enemy.
