Uncle Rupee is a Rupee deity that appears in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. In the beginning of the game, he convinces a 35-year old man to aspire to a magical place known as Rupeeland and transforms him into a Tingle. The only catch is collecting Rupees. However as Tingle soon realizes, Uncle Rupee is not the kindly old spirit that he presents himself to be. In fact he is a demon who exploits greed and needs Rupees to obtain absolute power.

In the end, Uncle Rupee demands Tingle to hand over his earnings, but Tingle refuses to comply. With his acquired wealth, Uncle Rupee sends his bodyguards and other servants to take down Tingle. When that fails, Uncle Rupee reveals he's no pushover and shows off his impressive muscles and powers. Yet even in giant Rupee form he is defeated, but as Tingle's money rains to the town below, the greed of the townspeople indicates that Uncle Rupee is never truly dead.
