Little Mac is the protagonist of the Punch-Out!! series of games. Originally he hailed from the Bronx and at 17 he met up with former heavyweight champion, Doc Louis by chance. He became Mac's trainer and taught Mac everything he knew about boxing until he was ready to enter the World Video Boxing Association. He competed in the minor circuit but built up his way until he finally was able to take on the world champion, Mike Tyson (later Mr. Dream).
In the Super Nintendo sequel Super Punch-Out!! another young boxer replaces Little Mac and may have been intended to replace Little Mac. This same version appeared in the third party game Fight Night: Round 2 under the name Little Mac. Recently Little Mac has made a return in three Wii games, the first as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, another in Captain Rainbow as an overweight boxer trying to get back into shape, and most recently in a new game, Punch-Out!! for the Wii.
