Mario Party DS Collection

A slew of objects found within Mario Party DS can be gathered and viewed in the Collection on the Gallery menu. These items come in four different types, including: Character Figures, Board Features, Boss Trophies, and Badges. Character Figures and Badges are earned by completing Story Mode with a character or by collecting a specific amount of Mario Party Points; Character Figures are interactive, while Badges can be equipped (though with no additional use). Board Features are mementos scattered around the five boards in the game and can be gained by breaking records in Minigame Mode and the Puzzle Collection or by landing on specific Happening Spaces on a board a certain number of times (this does not have to be in one play-through). Boss Trophies are earned by defeating the bosses a number of times, either in Story Mode or Minigame Mode.

	Description	That round nose and bushy 'stache could only belong to everyone's favorite hero. He's ready to help Peach out of a pinch anytime!

	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Luigi.
	Description	He may be afraid of ghosts, but he has hidden strengths that rival his brother Mario's! He's an all-around great guy and Mario's best pal!

	Name	Wario
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Wario.
	Description	That yellow shirt and purple overalls could only be worn by one guy, and that's Wario. Hold on to your cash...and your garlic! He loves both!

	Name	Yoshi
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Yoshi.
	Description	He's everyone's favorite cute dino! He may be adorable, but he can gulp an enemy whole. And he came all the way from his island to party!

	Name	Peach
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Peach.
	Description	Peach is a world-class princess! She's classy, kind, and beautiful. And she never misses a party, especially if she knows Mario and friends are there!

	Name	Daisy
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Daisy.
	Description	Daisy is bright and cheerful in her own unique way, and her fans adore her for it! She always makes a party more than lively!

	Name	Waluigi
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Waluigi.
	Description	This sly guy cuts a cool figure in his purple getup. And his dastardly cunning knows no equal. At least, that's what Waluigi tells himself!

	Name	Toad
	Requirement	Complete Story Mode using Toad.
	Description	He's the hardest-working Toad in the business! That's why Peach has come to rely on him so. He's got the can-do attitude that never says no!

	Name	Goomba
	Requirement	You need 2000 [more] points.
	Description	This brown foe has taken his lumps over the years from Mario's boot. But he seems to harbor secret dreams of turning the tables one day.

	Name	Scuttlebug
	Requirement	You need 4000 [more] points.
	Description	Who would think a spider could cut such a dashing figure in yellow and black tiger stripes and red shoes?! Scuttlebug can go anywhere...or flee anywhere!

	Name	Cheep Cheep
	Requirement	You need 6000 [more] points.
	Description	This fish jumps out of the water to attack whenever Mario's around. It gets so fired up, it'll even leap out of water and chase prey on land!

	Name	Boo
	Requirement	You need 8000 [more] points.
	Description	One of the most famous ghosts anywhere is also one of the shyest! Do you think he's a nice guy? Ask him. He's right behind you.

	Name	Shy Guy
	Requirement	You need 10000 [more] points.
	Description	Do you wonder what he looks like under that mask? Could he be dashing, maybe? No one knows the true face of Shy Guy. He's the red-clad mystery lad!

	Description	Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! Whomp! Yes, Whomp doesn't have much more to contribute than that sound. Aside from bruises. He's a big bruiser!

	Description	People wonder what Monty Mole's claws are for. Digging, of course...but why's Monty Mole constantly digging? To find the exit!

	Description	What a shiny, black, round body! And what a cute windup key! Now, you might wonder why he stares at you so intently...

	Name	Wiggler
	Requirement	You need 18000 [more] points.
	Description	Wiggler loves the garden and all the wonderful greenery that lives there. Except for that Piranha Plant, which makes Wiggler stomping mad!

	Name	Toadette
	Requirement	You need 20000 [more] points.
	Description	Toadette is one of the biggest cuties in the Mushroom Kingdom. Lately, her cute thing to do is practice for her music recital!

	Name	Diddy Kong
	Requirement	You need 22000 [more] points.
	Description	Though he's much smaller than Donkey Kong, Diddy is just as rambunctious! And no one has more tricks up his sleeve when it comes to using his tail.

	Description	This guy's hard shell means he doesn't mind any amount of stomping. In terms of defense, he can hold his own, so feel free to stomp away!

	Name	Piranha Plant

	Description	Some flowers were just born bad. This bad bud will bite anyone within range. No one wants to see this wicked plant in the garden!

	Name	Hammer Bro
	Requirement	You need 28000 [more] points.
	Description	This guy's hammers aren't just for attacking, they're apparently for making music too! Who knew Hammer Bro wanted to play the timpani?

	Name	Dry Bones
	Requirement	You need 30000 [more] points.
	Description	He's normally just a bucket of bones, but when Dry Bones learns magic, he becomes one tough customer! And what a tough coffin he lives in!

	Name	Kamek
	Requirement	You need 32000 [more] points.
	Description	Everyone knows this mischievous mage is one of Bowser's harshest henchmen! He surely gets Bowser in and out of lots of trouble. What an MVP!

	Name	Blockhead Bowser
	Requirement	You need 50000 [more] points.
	Description	After years of research, Bowser came up with a special belt that would give him the edge against Mario. And now he'll be harder to beat than ever!

Board Features

Wiggler's Garden

	Name	Flower Bed
	Requirement	Play on the Wiggler's Garden board.
	Description	Look at these cute flowers tucked into bed! They cheer everyone on, which encourages Mario and his friends to try their best.

	Name	Small Planter
	Requirement	Place first on the Wiggler's Garden board.
	Description	Wiggler planted a seed here, but it's a very strange seed. In time, a plant will grow that will be five times taller than Peach's castle.

	Name	Log Pile
	Requirement	Break 40,00 points on Frenzy Mode of Triangle Twisters.
	Description	Wiggler left these logs to give Mario and his friends a leg up when trying to beat that Piranha Plant.

	Name	Long Planter A
	Requirement	Place first in Score Shuffle.
	Description	What a delightful flower arrangement! Wiggler is secretly thinking of giving this to Toadette at her music recital.

	Name	Long Planter B
	Requirement	Place first in Step It Up.
	Description	Who wouldn't treasure such a lovely bunch of flowers? Wiggler is considering trading this to the Koopa Krag for his carnivorous plant collection.

	Name	Long Planter C
	Requirement	Place first in Rocket Rascals.
	Description	Smell that exotic scent! It's too strong for some people, but some love the exotic kapow of these pretties. Well, at least Wiggler likes it.

	Name	Fast-Growing Vine
	Requirement	Place first in Battle Cup.
	Description	This vine grows very quickly. Some say that it used to grow so fast, it would snake up to the clouds to a stash of coins in the sky.

	Name	Thwomp Bricks
	Requirement	Break 500 points in Mario's Puzzle Party.
	Description	These make a big impact in any garden. Wiggler won them by placing fifth in Thwomp's puzzle contest. First prize was an impractically huge Thwomp statue.

	Name	Wiggler's Watering Can
	Requirement	Place first on the Wiggler's Garden board three times.
	Description	Wiggler has used this old watering can for a long time. Everyone's told him to get a new one, but Wiggler plans to stick with this one a while longer.

	Name	Flytrap
	Requirement	Place first on the Wiggler's Garden board after earning the Wiggler Friend badge.
	Description	This garden brute likes to constantly chomp an anything that passes by, including that Piranha Plant. So it can't be all bad, right?

	Name	Bank Bulb
	Requirement	Use the Bank Bulb Flower on the Wiggler's Garden board three times.
	Description	If you shake this flower, coins may spill from its bulb. So many people shake it down for money all the time. But Wiggler has never been tempted.

	Name	Fly-Far Flower
	Requirement	Use the Fly-Far Flower on the Wiggler's Garden board three times.
	Description	This odd flower will send anyone who stands atop it flying away. It's the rarest flower around! Well, at least it's rare for Wiggler's garden.

	Name	Tricolored Flowers
	Requirement	Use the Tricolored Flowers on the Wiggler's Garden board to get 30 coins two times.
	Description	These are the first flowers that Wiggler ever tried to plant. There are coins hidden within them, but Wiggler doesn't know about them.

	Name	Piranha Plant's Planter
	Requirement	This is a secret item. No hints! Do your best to find it! (Place first on the Wiggler's Garden board after earning the Piranha Plant Rival badge.)
	Description	The Piranha Plant that declared itself king of Wiggler's garden calls this planter its throne. But it's not such a great planter that anyone else would.

Toadette's Music Room

	Requirement	Play on the Toadette's Music Room board.
	Description	These sheets are scattered around Toadette's music room. Their music is lovely but difficult to play. Toadette has stayed up late practicing!

	Name	Hectic Handbell
	Requirement	Place first on the Toadette's Music Room board.
	Description	This bell dings the first time you ring it, then dongs the next time! That makes it a pain to play, and it's been a real headache for Toadette.

	Name	Battered Drum
	Requirement	Break 40,000 points on Focus Mode of Triangle Twisters.
	Description	Hammer Bro got a little carried away playing this drum. It was a tough little drum, but 30 or more hammer hits put a hole in the poor little guy.

	Name	Touching Trumpets
	Requirement	Place first in Battle Cup twice.
	Description	Peach gave these trumpets to Toadette after hearing her play a very inspiring piece. Toadette was touched by this gift, and Peach was touched that Toadette was touched.

	Name	Music Stand
	Requirement	Place first in Step It Up twice.
	Description	This conducting stand was going to be used in Toadette's recital. Why's it set for such a low height? Toadsworth was going to conduct, that's why!

	Name	Violin Case
	Requirement	Place first on the Toadette's Music Room board three times.
	Description	This is a great home for a violin! Its lining is made from such soft stuff that you could hurl the case from Peach's castle and the violin would be safe.

	Name	Mysterious Case
	Requirement	Place first in Score Shuffle twice.
	Description	Here's a mystery. What goes in this case? It's not Toadette's, so the case isn't for her instruments. In truth, it's Hammer Bro's...so there you go.

	Name	Set of Boxes
	Requirement	Place first in Rocket Rascals twice.
	Description	A girl's gotta have her secrets, and Toadette's not talking about what's in these boxes. She scolds anyone who gets nosy, so watch yourself!

	Name	Broken Violin
	Requirement	Play the violin on the Toadette's Music Room board two times.
	Description	Hammer Bro actually didn't break this. Toadette played it until one string snapped. Now, you'd think it would be easy enough to replace one string!

	Name	Lively Horn
	Requirement	Use the horn to warp on the Toadette's Music Room board three times.
	Description	One toot on this horn carries Mario and friends off to a nearby note. In bygone days, it was said that blowing on it produced an item. Just a rumor...

	Name	Sturdy Timpano
	Requirement	Place first on the Toadette's Music Room board after earning the Hammer Bro Rival badge.
	Description	This timpano is so strong that even Hammer Bro probably couldn't break it. Well, truth is, he did try, but he tired himself out and quit.

	Requirement	Break 1,500 points on Bob-omb Breakers.
	Description	Peach gave this table to Toadette along with the trumpets. It's a one-of-a-kind creation made by Toad, and a fitting gift for Toadette's music recital.

	Requirement	Use the Metronome on the Toadette's Music Room board three times.
	Description	Oh, all the things that only Toadsworth knows! This metronome jostles notes in and out of hiding, and only the old fellow knows exactly why.

	Name	Musical Notes

	Description	Normally, notes merely come and go, but these have come to stay with Toadette. What personalities they all have! Good thing they're so helpful!

DK's Stone Statue

	Name	Blue Blooms
	Requirement	Play on the DK's Stone Statue board.
	Description	These rare flowers bloom deep in the jungle only once every 10 years. It's supposed to be lucky to find them. So...you feeling lucky?

	Name	Pink Mushroom
	Requirement	Place first on the DK's Stone Statue board.
	Description	What a fun jungle fungus! These pink puffs of fabulousness smell great, but they're not for eating. DK's got such an appetite that he almost ate one!

	Name	Purple Flower
	Requirement	Place first in Score Shuffle three times.
	Description	These rare flowers bloom deep in the jungle only once every 20 years. Good thing, too. It's supposed to be unlucky to find them. So...feeling accursed?

	Name	DK's Vine
	Requirement	Place first in Step It Up three times.
	Description	This long jungle vine is slippery and hard to grasp. Now why it's called DK's vine, who can say? Maybe he's the only one who can swing from it.

	Name	Green Mushroom
	Requirement	Place first on the DK's Stone Statue board after earning the Diddy Kong Friend badge.
	Description	This gunky, green jungle fungus has a sinister smell. But it's absolutely delicious! People wish it looked as yummy as the inedible pink mushroom...

	Name	Barrel Sign
	Requirement	Get flattened by the barrel on the DK's Stone Statue board three times.
	Description	Someone thoughtful made this sign to warn people about the danger of falling barrels. It could only have been Toadsworth, but no one knows for sure.

	Name	Large Leaves
	Requirement	Place first in Battle Cup three times.
	Description	These leaves grow so big that you could use them as umbrellas. That is, if they didn't have tiny holes in them. Maybe they'd work better as noodle strainers.

	Name	Tightrope Vine
	Requirement	Place first in Rocket Rascals three times.
	Description	Everyone manages to cross these vines just fine, though the look dangerous. Who put these in the jungle as bridges anyway? Probably Toadsworth!

	Name	Tricolored Vines
	Requirement	Break 50,000 points in Piece Out.
	Description	Wheeee! Who knew that vines could be so deliriously fun? Blue! Red! Yellow! People know you can pull one to get an item. Why not call them birthday vines?

	Name	Beehive
	Requirement	Place first on the DK's Stone Statue board three times.
	Description	This strange beehive is full of coins, not honey. What oddball bees! One such hive actually held 108 coins. Can you believe it?

	Name	Bothersome Barrel
	Requirement	Get flattened by the barrel on the DK's Stone Statue board 10 times.
	Description	These barrels are always battering Mario and friends. They seem to have a life of their own, coming from nowhere, but they're actually thrown by Kamek!

	Name	Banana Peel
	Requirement	Place first on the DK's Stone Statue board after earning the Donkey Kong Friend badge.
	Description	Diddy ate a banana to calm down after DK turned to stone, then dropped the peel. Diddy's such a crazy kid that you gotta wonder if the banana helped.

	Name	Dry Bones's Coffin
	Requirement	Place first on the DK's Stone Statue board after earning the Dry Bones Rival badge.
	Description	Cool in the summer, warm in the winter! This coffin makes a perfect sleeping place. Well, maybe only for Dry Bones, who's just as hardened as the coffin.

	Name	DK Statue
	Requirement	This is a secret item. No hints! Do your best to find it! (Finish a game with at least 50 stars on the DK's Stone Statue board.)
	Description	Poor Donkey Kong! He's been turned to stone by Dry Bones's spell. Truly, it's not the bonehead's magic, though. Dry Bones learned the spell from Kamek.

Kamek's Library

	Name	Kamek's Quill
	Requirement	Play on the Kamek's Library board.
	Description	Feather pens are the best! So Kamek thinks, at least. He uses one to jot down the day's nefarious notes in his dastardly diary.

	Name	Kamek's Inkwell
	Requirement	Place first on the Kamek's Library board.
	Description	Kamek writes with magical ink that only the writer can see. Pretty useful for diaries. He squeezed the ink from a Blooper, which is a little yucky.

	Name	Kamek's Bottle
	Requirement	Break 500 points in Block Star.
	Description	What might the liquid in Kamek's bottle be? Ah, it has the potent power to replenish fluids lost during exercise! So...that would make it a sports drink?

	Name	Kamek's Watch
	Requirement	Place first in Step It Up four times.
	Description	This old pocket watch is Kamek's favorite because it's also a stopwatch. Odd, because Kamek can guess precisely when 30 seconds pass on his own.

	Name	Kamek's Telescope
	Requirement	Place first in Rocket Rascals four times.
	Description	This is Kamek's magical telescope. It makes farther-than-far things look near. Sometimes they seem so near that he doesn't know what they are!

	Name	Kamek's Bookcase
	Requirement	Place first in Battle Cup four times.
	Description	Kamek's bookcase is full of difficult books about magic, neatly arranged from A to Z starting in the upper left. He's more organized than you'd think!

	Name	Kamek's Frame
	Requirement	Dust off the picture frame on the Kamek's Library board three times.
	Description	Kamek is self-conscious about photos of himself, so he cursed the frame to make its glass always dusty. Kamek has a panic attack when it's dusted off.

	Name	Kamek's Warp Book
	Requirement	Use the Warp Book on the Kamek's Library board five times.
	Description	Kamek happened upon this magic book in a bookstore. It turned out to have space-warping properties. Guess that was a really good buy, then!

	Name	Kamek's Domino Books
	Requirement	Place first in Score Shuffle four times.
	Description	Knock these books over, and they'll stand up on their own again. That's some great magic. Kamek bought this with the Warp Book. Good bookstore, eh?

	Name	Kamek's Star Globe
	Requirement	Place first on the Kamek's Library board after earning the Kamek Rival badge.
	Description	This globe shows the positions of stars in the sky, but Kamek uses it as a piggy bank for some reason. So those coins you get from it? They're Kamek's.

	Name	Lucky Jar
	Requirement	Place first on the Kamek's Library board three times.
	Description	These small jars scattered around Kamek's library hold Stars or coins. Only Koopa Krag seems to know what the treasure inside each will be.

	Name	Cursed Jar
	Requirement	Have a cursed jar return you to the start on the Kamek's Library board three times.
	Description	You'll get a mouthful of teeth and a trip back to the start if you open one of these jars. Everyone wishes that there was some way to tell these apart from a lucky jar!

	Name	Kamek's Crystal Ball
	Requirement	Get hit by Kamek's magic on the Kamek's Library board two times.
	Description	Ah, an orb of oracular ocularity! In short, this ball sees all. Well, not everything. Which is good, given that it belongs to nasty Kamek.

	Name	Koopa Krag's Book
	Requirement	This is a secret item. No hints! Do your best to find it! (Place first on the Kamek's Library board after earning the Koopa Friend badge.)
	Description	The most powerful book in Kamek's collection is a cage for Koopa Krag, but that's not all it does! It has a total of nine magical functions!

Bowser's Pinball Machine

	Name	Bumpity Bumper
	Requirement	Get sent to the Bowser Zone or Star Zone on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board three times.
	Description	Most stellar! Most spectacular! Everyone wants to bump into this bumper! It bounces people from the Bowser Zone to the Star Zone!

	Name	Bowser Sign
	Requirement	Break 1,000 points in Stick & Spin.
	Description	Bowser Jr. made this for the pinball table, and Bowser gets a kick out of it. But Bowser Jr. thinks he can do better. For a kid, he's pretty persnickety.

	Name	Spiky Shell Bumper
	Requirement	Play on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board.
	Description	Bowser Jr. thought that it'd be cool to put spikes on this shell bumper but has had second thoughts, since the spikes skewer things all the time.

	Name	Spotlight
	Requirement	Place first on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board.
	Description	Spotlights always make pinball a flashier spectacle! But Bowser keeps on tilting the pinball machine, which breaks the light again and again.

	Name	Right Flipper
	Requirement	Place first in Step It Up five times.
	Description	When Bowser plays pinball with his son, he controls the right flipper and puts a lot of oomph into it. You might see Mario and friends get nasty bruises!

	Name	Left Flipper
	Requirement	Get hit by the flippers on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board three times.
	Description	Bowser Jr. takes the left flipper when he plays pinball with his dad. He's strategic with his flipper, so you'll see Mario and crew take less bruising.

	Name	Flipper Stopper
	Requirement	Place first on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board three times.
	Description	This stopper will stop Mario and friends after being flipped hard. And it even gives out coins. So no one worries about the flippers. Thanks, flipper stopper!

	Name	Plunger
	Requirement	Place first in Battle Cup five times.
	Description	This plunger sends Mario and friends into the Bowser Zone. Bowser controls the plunger, and when he mishandles it, victims fly to the Star Zone instead!

	Name	Blue Tower
	Requirement	Place first in Score Shuffle five times.
	Description	While sent plunging off to who knows where, victims pass by the blue tower, which holds a secret. It seems like Koopa Krag may know what's in there...

	Name	Cannon
	Requirement	Get launched by the cannon on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board three times.
	Description	Kamek equipped the pinball table with this cannon at Bowser's command. But he made it too powerful, and it blasted Bowser in the face. Kamek...apologized.

	Name	Wheel of Wonder
	Requirement	Get more than 500 coins from the Wheel of Wonder on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board.
	Description	Bowser named this game of chance, but never tried it even once. Bowser Jr., on the other hand, has tried it exactly eight times.

	Name	Flashy Flair
	Requirement	Place first in Rocket Rascals five times.
	Description	Kamek put this sporty decoration on the pinball table, and added his own coins because Bowser demanded it. That Bowser, always cutting costs!

	Name	Chests of Chance
	Requirement	Finish a game with at least 500 coins on the Bowser's Pinball Machine board.
	Description	This contraption is built into the pinball table. How does it play? You line up three matches in a row to win big! Bowser botches it every time!

	Name	Bowser Zone
	Requirement	This is a secret item. No hints! Do your best to find it!
	Description	The plunger sends its victims to this awfully awful place, where Bowser's Zero Flame will scorch away your coins and Stars. What a wretched fate!

	Description	This jagged leaf is a part of Piranha Plant, signifying that you beat it fair and square. You sure pruned that plant!

	Name	Winner's Balloon
	Requirement	Defeat Piranha Plant 2 [more] times.
	Description	This balloon stands for the bravery you showed when facing the Piranha Plant! Who wouldn't cheer you on, the way you stride so fearlessly?

	Name	Bomb Seed
	Requirement	Defeat Piranha Plant 3 [more] times.
	Description	This is a seed from the plant that seems more firecracker than fern! Owning one shows that you have the explosive power of a Piranha Plant hunter!

	Name	Beaten Piranha Plant
	Requirement	Almost there! Defeat Piranha Plant 4 [more] times.
	Description	You're such a great Piranha Plant hunter that you captured the boss?! From now on, any Piranha Plant will seem like a sad little weed to you!

Hammer Bro

	Name	Toadette's Chair
	Requirement	Defeat Hammer Bro 1 [more] time.
	Description	This is a chair from the music room that you saved from Hammer Bro. It's a symbol of your first step toward becoming a great Hammer Bro hunter!

	Requirement	Defeat Hammer Bro 2 [more] times.
	Description	This is the piano from the music room that you saved from Hammer Bro. Having this shows that you're a pitch-perfect Hammer Bro hunter!
