Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 (translated as Burn! Hot-Blooded Rhythm Spirit: Go! Fight! Cheer Squad 2) is a rhythm game for the Nintendo DS. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and the third game in the franchise after Elite Beat Agents. Most of the changes added in Elite Beat Agents were retained and improved upon in this entry.

Story[edit]

Six years after the original game, a new, elegant Ouendan team has arrived and so the town is divided between the two squads. The gameplay is primarily the same for both squads. When someone is at the end of their rope and yells for help, the Ouendan appear. They help indirectly by motivating the person with their dancing.

Gameplay[edit]

The game is made up of different episodes. In each episode, there is a person who needs help. The Ouendan motivate the person with song and dance.

On the bottom screen, various markers appear. The player must tap, drag, or spin the markers in time to the music to keep the meter up. If the meter is empty, the player has failed that stage. Each stage has several different endings depending on how well the player did.

The game tracks the players high score on each stage as well as giving them a cumulative rank. There are unlockable stages for those who achieve a certain rank.

The game also uses the Wi-Fi connect for a Multiplayer Mode. Players can compete or work together.
