Pokémon Pinball is an early spin-off of the Pokémon series which reinterprets the games into a pinball game. It was the first, and one of the few, Game Boy Color games to have a built-in Rumble Pak.
Gameplay[edit]
The game operates the same as any pinball game. Aside from featuring Pokémon-themed tables, the other factor separating this from normal Pokémon games is that the actual ball is a Pokéball and one goal on each table is to capture and evolve Pokémon, which are collected in the Pokédex. The game contains the 151 Pokémon types from Pokémon: Red, Green and Blue Versions, and there are different pinball tables for each location featured in the game. Addition, the player can select between a Red and Blue table to mimic the choice between the Red or Blue versions of the Pokémon games.
Legacy[edit]
Sequels[edit]
Although there was no game released for the second generation Pokémon, Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire was eventually released for the Game Boy Advance as a spin-off of the third-generation Pokémon: Ruby and Sapphire Versions. The game is mostly similar but with several gameplay tweaks or improvements.
