Princess Styla is the princess of Hytopia who is featured as a supporting character in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes.
Background[edit]
Styla was the daughter of King Tuft and the princess of the kingdom of Hytopia. Hytopia was a kingdom centered around fashion, and Styla was adored by the populace for her fair nature and elegant style. She loved wearing fashionable dresses. Styla also had a mischievous side, as she liked to sneak out of the castle and explore the town sometimes.
One day, she received a mysterious gift. Upon opening it, the gift was revealed to be a set of cursed black tights set by Lady Maud. The magical curse dressed Styla in the jumpsuit and prevented her from removing it. Embarrassed by how ugly she considered herself to look in the cursed tights, she hid away in her room while her father put out a call for a group of Tri Force Heroes to find a way to stop The Lady and undo the curse.
Link was one of the heroes who stepped up and was eventually allowed to speak with King Tuft. Link could also speak with Styla through her locked door, and she regretted not being able to speak to Link in person. She still sneaked out of the castle occasionally. When out of the castle, she could be found by one of the castle's balconies or by one of several spots around town. However, she would quickly retreat, and the citizens mistook her for a black ghost.
Eventually, Link succeeded in defeating Maud and assembling all of the materials needed for The Lady's Ensemble, a duplicate of her Maud's clothing. With the outfit's power, Link was able to dispel the curse, and Styla was changed into an elegant dress. She thanked Link for his accomplishment, and afterwards a ceremony was held to celebrate Link's victory. The Photo Bro managed to record the ceremony and gave it to Styla. Afterwards, King Tuft and Styla decided to give Link the tights, now known as the Kinda Cursed Tights, as his reward. Styla admitted that she had grown fond of the way the tights fit her, but she still wanted to be rid of it. Styla remained at the castle and offered to let Link watch the video of the ceremony whenever he wanted.
