Gameplay[edit]
The player controls a remote control car as they race around the track. The track is full of obstacles such as pools of oil and water. In order to advance, the player must place above fourth place, but gets more points for getting first.
As the player races, they can collect upgrades for their cars. They can be added to the car between races. The upgrades can improve maximum speed, acceleration, and traction.

R.C. Pro-Am was given a sequel, R.C. Pro-Am II, on the NES.
Ports and Remakes[edit]
- A Gameboy version, Super R.C. Pro-Am, is released in 1991
- Championship Pro-Am is released for the SEGA Genesis in 1992
