Roger is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi and Shadow Dragon.
Background[edit]
Roger was a member of the Grustian army. His parents were dead, and he had no girl of his own, so he had joined the army out of simple loyalty to his country, although he was not particularly bloodthirsty. In Chapter 9 he was part of the forces attacking Marth's army at Port Warren. However, Caeda could recruit Roger in a strange conversation where she asked him if he believed in true love and tried to get him to switch to their side in a melodramatic manner. Roger initially refused to betray his country, but he eventually relented just as she was about to leave, admitting to Marth later that he was falling in love with her. However, it can be assumed that nothing came of this as Caeda ultimately married Marth. After the war ended, he returned home and reached out to the many people whom had been touched by the war.
Trivia[edit]
- In Shadow Dragon, he receives Support Bonuses from Caeda.
- He is cut out from the Monshou no Nazo remake/sequel, so his whereabouts during the War of Heroes are unknown.
