Wild Gunman is a a light gun game by Nintendo. The original version of the game was a light gun game released in 1984, which connected to a 16mm projection screen.
Gameplay[edit]
The player must have a shoot out with a bandit. The player has to wait until the bandit says "Draw!" and then must try to shoot the opponent as quickly as possible. The NES game utilizes the NES Zapper.

Ports/Remakes[edit]
- A Playchoice-10 arcade version of the NES game was released in the same year as the NES game.
- The NES game was made available for download as part of the Wii U's Virtual Console in 2015/2016. Notably, the European/Australian release date of the game coincided with Back to the Future day.
Other References/Homages[edit]
- One of 9-Volt's games in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! is based on Wild Gunman.
- It was also converted to a mini-game for Kirby's Adventure.
- In the Super Smash Bros. series, one of Duck Hunt's moves involves summoning an 8-bit sprite of one of the characters from Wild Gunman to shoot at opponents, and they also appear in a shootout with the characters from Hogan's Alley in Duck Hunt's Final Smash. Wild Gunman has also been represented by a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Trivia[edit]
- Wild Gunman appears in the movie Back to the Future II. It appears in the form of a dedicated arcade machine made specifically for the movie.
