Inevitably he and his band of mercenaries would play a prominent role after taking a protectorate role of Elincia, the princess of Crimea while also setting out to defeat the mysterious Black Knight.
Following the conclusion of his own adventure, Ike returns in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, now much older and skilled and still leader of the Greil Mercenaries.
