Meg is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and the first Armor unit available in the game.

Background[edit]

Meg was the second of Brom's three daughters, originally living with her family at their farm in Ohma. She was well built strength wise and reportedly capable of lifting a cow. After Brom returned from battling in the Mad King's War, he promised a husband for Meg's older sister, in the form of his friend Zihark. However, her sister was later able to marry someone else, so Zihark was promised to Meg instead. She later set out from Crimea by herself to search for him, wearing heavy armor to protect herself.

She tracked him down to the last place he was seen, a town at the edge of the Desert of Death, believing he had gone into the desert. In the "In Town" Base Conversation of "Chapter 4: A Distant Voice" (in "Part 1: Silver-Haired Maiden"), the Dawn Brigade caught Meg when she was following them. They were also bound for the desert, so they invited Meg to join with them; she was excited by this since she had been lonely since she left Crimea. Meg had her meeting with Zihark in the "Companions" Base Conversation of "Chapter 7: A Gathering Hope". Zihark was surprised to learn that Brom was still intent on setting him up with one of his daughters and attempted to clear things up with her, but Meg did not give him time to speak and expressed her determination to train hard to be a good wife, even in battle.

Meg then served with the Daein Liberation Army and the Daein Royal Army that it became, befriending Jill in the process. When the Daein Royal Army was called back into action to battle the Laguz Alliance Army in "Part 3: Intersecting Vows", Meg was determined to follow Micaiah until the very end, and not even talking to Zihark or her father could dissuade her.

After the war, Meg was married to an ordinary man in the village and lived an ordinary life, although her house was filled with laughter.

Trivia[edit]

  • There is some confusion about which of Brom's daughters Meg is. When she introduces herself to Zihark, she says she is his youngest daughter. However, if Brom talks to Zihark in the final chapter of Part 3, he mentions Meg as his second daughter. Another reference to Meg being the second daughter is that in his first meeting with Meg, Zihark recalls Brom mentioning that Meg could lift a cow, and in Path of Radiance Brom had said that while referring to his second daughter.
  • Meg has an automatic Bond Support with Brom.
