Cacturne have lives in deserts for thousands of years, which has caused their blood to transform into the same substances as sand. Cacturne is a nocturnal Pokémon that only becomes active at night, when the temperature drops. It remains unmoving in the daytime to prevent itself from losing any moisture to the harsh desert sun. At night, Cacturne will hunt down prey that have been exhausted by the sun and become unable to move. Groups of them have been known to follow travelers in ragtag groups and bide their time until the travelers become immobile.

Cacturne evolves from Cacnea at Level 32. It has cactus-like properties that are similar to its previous form.
