Feraligatr is a large and powerful alligator-like bipedal Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. It is the third and final form in Totodile's evolutionary line.

Information[edit]

Feraligatr evolves from Croconaw at Level 30. It has a massive body, but its powerful hind legs help it to move quickly. It has trouble supporting its own weight outside of water, so it often moves on all fours on land. In battle, it kicks the ground hard with its powerful legs to charge at the foe at an incredible speed.

It usually moves slowly, but it strikes quickly when attacking prey. It intimidates opponents by opening its huge mouth, and when it bites into its prey, it will shake its head aggressively to tear its victim up.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

It can only be obtained through evolution from the second generation games onwards.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Trozei!, Feraligatr is found at Endless Level 27, Forever Level 76, Pair Trozei and Mr. Who's Den. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, it could be found in the forty-ninth through fifty-eighth floors of Western Cave, while in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, it could be found at the first twenty-four basement floors of Lake Afar. In the first Mystery Dungeons, a non-playable Feraligatr appeared as part of Team Hydro. In Pokémon Ranger, Feraligatr could be found in the Underground Waterways.

In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Feraligatr could be found at Rand's House and the Ice Temple. A Feraligatr also appeared in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure at the Beach Zone. In Pokémon Rumble Blast, it was found at the Desolated Ruins.

Other Appearances[edit]

  • Feraligatr have made occasional and mostly minor appearances in the Pokémon anime, usually as opponents in matches, and Brock used one for part of the Pokémon Triathalon in the Diamond/Pearl season. Perhaps the most prominent Feraligatr to appear was one owned by Marina, which evolved from her starter Pokémon.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Silver's Croconaw evolves into Feraligatr when trying to fend off Lugia, and has remained on his team as one of his main Pokémon.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a combination of "feral" and "alligator". It appears that its name is actually intended to be "Feraligator", but the last vowel had to be cut out to fit the ten-character limit for Pokémon names.
