Tiki (also known as Chiki in previous fan translations) is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi as well as its remake/sequels Monshou no Nazo, Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem Awakening. She is one of the two playable Manaketes in these games (excluding Nagi, the optional character who is playable if Tiki dies in Shadow Dragon).
Background
Tiki was born to Naga, the last king of the divine dragons, shortly before his death. As one of his last acts, he placed her into a deep slumber within the Fane of Raman, because her power had the potential to destroy the world if she ever degenerated. She came to hate her sleep, as she would have nightmares of degenerating into a savage wild dragon like the Earth Dragons. During the centuries of her slumber, she was watched over by the fire dragon Bantu. However, Bantu grew attached to Tiki and came to pity her, so he eventually awakened her and took her away to a human village, where he took care of her for some time. However, this peaceful lifestyle came to an abrupt end when Gharnef discovered and abducted her for use in his plan to conquer Archanea.
Book One
Gharnef used hypnosis on her in order to make her the guardian of the Fane of Raman in Chapter 19 (15 of Monshou no Nazo), making her believe that Bantu had betrayed her and that obeying him was the only thing protecting her from Medeus. However, Bantu was able to snap Tiki out of her trance and recruit her into the Altean army commanded by Marth (or as she came to call him "Mar-Mar"). She grew fond of Marth throughout their adventure, and after Medeus's defeat she returned to traveling with Bantu. However, there was still the potential threat of Tiki degenerating into a wild dragon, which led to Gotoh putting her into another slumber at the Ice Dragons' Temple.
Book Two
This slumber wound up only lasting a few years, if Marth was able to gather all the shards of the shattered Starsphere by Chapter 14. This was because if the Shield of Seals was complete, it could protect Tiki from degenerating as well as restoring the seal over the Earth Dragons who were about to awaken from their own seal. Once the Starsphere was restored, Tiki was awakened from her slumber and allowed to travel with Marth under the pretense that Marth would complete the Shield of Seals by finding the other jewels. Otherwise, Gotoh was grimly determined that they would eventually have to destroy Tiki. Marth was determined to protect Tiki and prevent her from having to experience those nightmares again.
After Medeus was destroyed for good and the Earth Dragons were sealed away in a more permanent manner, Tiki was overjoyed that she would no longer have to return to the Ice Dragons' Temple and no longer be alone, telling Marth she really liked him for this. Tiki then went on to live a happy life at Pales.
Alternate Plotlines
In the Book One games, it is possible for Tiki to be killed in the boss battle if she is not recruited. In Shadow Dragon, in this case it is said that she has not truly died but rather returned to her slumber. Defeating Tiki instead of recruiting her actually (in addition to failing to game the Falchion) unlocks a sidequest chapter in this game where Nagi (seemingly the reincarnated Naga) can be recruited instead.
Similarly, if Marth does not gather all of the Starsphere shards prior to Chapter 14 of Monsho no Nazo's Book Two, Tiki will remain in her slumber as the Shield of Seals cannot be completed. In this case, Gotoh intends to ensure she never awakens (and possibly destroy her as well).

Other Appearances
Video Games
- She appears in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, with an appearance based on her younger self.
- Tiki appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with both appearances based on her adult form from Awakening.
- Tiki makes a non-playable appearance in Project X-Zone 2, in a chapter set in the world and time of Awakening.
- She was one of the characters featured in Fire Emblem Warriors.
Trivia
- Tiki appears to have been born around 500 years before the start of the Archanean calender, as Monshou No Nazo's in-game timeline reports that this is the time in which Naga died.
- In Monshou no Nazo, it is said that Tiki only has 10 human years' worth of memory, implying that this is the total amount of time during her centuries alive that she has spent awake.
- In Shadow Dragon, she can have a special conversation with Xane (who unbenownst to Tiki, is working for Gotoh and one of the surviving Divine Dragons) in which he checks up on her and asks about her nightmares, also telling her that she is a special kid and should take care of herself in order to properly protect Marth.
- In Shadow Dragon she receives a Support Bonus from Marth.
- Nagi resembles an adult version of Tiki.
