Shellos is an aquatic slug-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. Its evolved form is Gastrodon.

Information[edit]

Shellos live along bodies of water. Its body shape and coloration vary from region to region. There are two known types in the Sinnoh region, which are blue and pink. These different types appearing on opposing sides of Mt. Coronet is evidence that Sinnoh was once split in two. Pushing in a Shellos's body will cause a mysterious purple fluid to ooze out. It evolves into Gastrodon at Level 30.

In Pokémon: Diamond, Pearl and Platinum Versions, Shellos could be found commonly on foot at Routes 205, 212 (Platinum only), 213, 218, 221 (Diamond/Pearl only) and 224 (Diamond/Pearl only), Valley Windworks and Fuego Ironworks, and in Platinum they could also be found by surfing (in some cases solely by surfing) in all these locations as well as at Canalave City and Pastoria City. The pink Shellos appeared in the western areas while the blue Shellos appeared in the eastern areas.

Shellos could also be caught at the Pokéwalker's Stormy Beach course, from which it could be transferred to HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Shellos could be recruited at Drenched Bluff (pink) and Beach Sea (blue). In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it was found at Vientown Beach and Marine Cave. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, they appeared at Curl Bay. In My Pokémon Ranch, a Shellos could be randomly obtained by trading a Pokémon to Hayley, and it could be transferred to Diamond or Pearl (as well as Platinum in Japan). Shellos also appeared in Pokémon Rumble at Bright Beach.

Other Appearances[edit]
