Hippopotas lives in arid places and enshrouds itself with stand to protect itself from germs. They even expel grainy sand from their bodies instead of perspiration. Hippopotas nature dislike getting wet. Hippopotas usually form colonies of ten and travel easily through the sands of the desert. A Hippopotas travels through sand as if it were walking and shuts its nostrils tight while doing so.
It evolves into Hippowdon at Level 34.
