Lanturn is an electric angler fish-like Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. It evolves from Chinchou.
Information[edit]
Chinchou evolves into Lanturn at Level 27. It has a singular antenna which shines a light bright enough to illuminate the ocean's surface from a depth of over three miles. Its light can sometimes even be seen from on board a ship at night. Lanturn's light gives the sea the appearance of a starlit night, so it has received the nickname of "The Deep-Sea Star". The light is produced by a chemical reaction between bacteria and its body fluids inside the antenna.
