Cradily' is an extinct tentacled Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It is the evolved form of Lileep.

Information

Cradily evolves from Lileep at Level 40. It has eight tentacles which it uses to ensnare its prey after extending its tree trunk-like body, at which point it secretes digestive acids from the tentacles which will melt the prey. Cradily typically nested in the shallows of warm seas, although they could also use their bodies as anchors to keep themselves from washing away in rough seas. Cradily could also be seen on beaches when the tide goes out, where they dig up prey. Cradily is presumably extinct as its pre-evolved form is, and like it has probably been extinct for a hundred million years.

Cradily has not been found in the wild and can only be obtained by evolving a Lileep.

Other Games

Cradily could only be obtained through evolution in Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire. In Pokémon Trozei!, it was found at Endless Level 57, Forever Level 7, Pair Trozei and Mr. Who's Den. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, it could be recruited at the ninetieth through ninety-eighth floors of Silver Trench, and a non-playable Cradily also appeared as part of Team Constrictor. Cradily could also be recruited in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness at Miracle Sea and Deep Miracle Sea.

• In the Pokémon anime, Cradily have made mostly minor appearances, including one episode of the Hoenn series in which one was an inhabitant of the Island of Fossil Pokémon.
• In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Cradily was shown as one of Roxanne's Pokémon, although she only used it in battle with Team Magma late in the Ruby/Sapphire arc. A Cradily also appeared during the Diamond/Pearl arc in the possession of a Team Galactic grunt, specifically the one who acted as Sird's substitute.
