Main Characters[edit]
Mail Characters[edit]
Olimar's Wife[edit]
Olimar's loving wife, who seems a bit more concerned about Olimar's financial standing than his safety. Whenever she receives a monetary bonus on his behalf, she spends it on herself and her children. After receiving Olimar's final bonus, she goes a bit crazy, nastily forcing her children to study and taking a personal vacation for herself. She ends up blowing all the money on lottery tickets and goes back to her usual, loving nature. Olimar's notes in the Piklopedia imply that she is materialistic, especially in regards to jewels.
- Olimar's wife is first mentioned during one of Olimar's journal entries in Pikmin. She sends a total of nine letters in Pikmin 2.
Olimar's Son[edit]
Olimar's son is upset when he hears that Olimar went back to the Pikmin planet without him. He is quick to get over his disappointment though, using his father to brag to girls and asking for souvenirs. Olimar's son is quick to be upset with his mother when she goes poko-crazy, but also quick to forgive her when she returns to normal. Olimar's son seems to care most about Bulbie, the family dog. Out of the entire family, he seems to miss Olimar the most.
- Olimar's son is first mentioned during one of Olimar's journal entries in Pikmin. He is also the one who gave him the Sagittarius for the The S.S. Dolphin. He sends a total of 10 letters in Pikmin 2.
Olimar's Daughter[edit]
During 'Pikmin 2', Olimar's daughter begins training to become a proper lady and informs her father of her progress via space e-mail. Unfortunately, when her mother receives Olimar's latest bonus from work, Olimar's daughter is forced to study constantly and despises the idea of being a lady. She is somewhat relieved when she doesn't have to study anymore. Olimar's notes in the Piklopedia imply that she might be a bit materialistic, like her mother.
- Olimar's daughter is first mentioned during one of Olimar's journal entries in Pikmin. She is also the one who gave him the Libra for the The S.S. Dolphin. She sends a total of eight letters in Pikmin 2.
Bulbie[edit]
Olimar's family pet, Bulbie is a creature that closely resembles the grub-dogs found on the Pikmin planet and is most likely the source of the common name that Olimar applies to said species: Bulborb. Olimar first mentions Bulbie in one of his journal entries in Pikmin and draws a small sketch of him. In Pikmin 2, Olimar's children occasionally send him letters that detail Bulbie's disposition.
Louie's Father[edit]
When Louie gets left behind on the Pikmin planet, his father starts sending space e-mails to Olimar and the President, presumably because he hasn't received word from his son for some time. His messages are directed toward Louie, as he's unaware of the cadet's disappearance. He reminisces about Louie's childhood, such as how bugs were so attracted to him, and sends various foods made from bugs. After Louie and the other 200 treasures are found, Louie's father congratulates him and asks him to visit.
- Louie's father sends a total of seven letters.
The President's Wife[edit]
The "real" boss of Hocotate Freight, the President's wife was on vacation when the company went bankrupt, and returned just in time to find out that her husband had gone to the Pikmin planet to find Louie and the rest of the treasure. She takes care of Hocotate Freight while the President is gone, using the ship to keep tabs on her husband. While she seems to lack respect for her spouse, especially when she makes Hocotate Freight more successful than he ever could, she is greatly impressed after he collects all 201 treasures.
- The President's wife sends a total of six letters.
***SPAM?***[edit]
After clearing the debt on Hocotate Freight, the company e-mail presumably fell into the hands of various (or maybe just one) merchandisers who send advertisements to Olimar and the President after their return to the Pikmin planet. Headlined by a mysterious silhouette, these advertisements always direct Olimar and the President to visit http://www.pikmin.com or http://www.nintendo.com, though they're actually aimed toward the gamer.
- ***SPAM?*** sends a total of five letters.
