The NES Zapper is a light gun used with the Nintendo Entertainment System. The Japanese version is modeled after a revolver, while the American version has a science fiction style. The American Zapper was originally gray, but was later changed to orange due to new laws stating toy guns can't resemble real guns. The Zapper lets the player shoot objects on screen.
The NES Zapper has yet to be properly emulated on the Wii's Virtual Console.
