Malo is a young child who acts as a supporting character and shop owner in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Background

Malo was one of the children living in Ordon Village. He often was seen hanging out with his brother Talo and their friend Beth. Despite his small stature, Malo is actually quite intelligent and acted like a bully sometimes. He was jealous of Beth, whose parents owned a store, while his parents only owned a waterwheel.

In Twilight Princess, Malo was kidnapped by Bulblins along with the rest of the village's children. However, Malo, Talo, Beth and Colin were later rescued and brought to Kakariko Village. They were to remain in Kakariko until the roads were safe to travel on again. Malo made the best of his time and opened his own shop, Malo Mart.

The store was successful enough that Malo eventually had an elderly Goron raising money for him. The money went towards building a second Malo Mart in Hyrule Castle Town, as a cheaper replacement for the snooty and super-expensive store that once stood there. At the end of the game, Malo and the other children were returned to Ordon Village. It is unknown what became of the Malo Mart business afterwards.
