Excadrill is a steel-covered mole-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the evolved form of Drilbur.

Information

Excadrill evolves from Drilbur at Level 31. Its drill-like hands as well as the drill on its head have evolved into steel strong enough to bore through iron plates. They build mazelike nests more than 300 feet below the surface. Because of their proficiency, they are sometimes employed for tunnel construction. However, their activities have also been destructive to subway tunnels.

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Excadrill only appeared in swirling dust at Victory Road, Challenger's Cave and Giant Chasm.

• In the Pokémon anime, Excadrill was eventually revealed as one of Iris's Pokémon. She did not show she had it until nine episodes into the Unova series and was reluctant to use it due to it being disobedient. This Excadrill seems to be powerful, but it does not attack at all unless it itself is in danger.
