Shieldon is an armored-faced fossil Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It can be revived from an Armor Fossil, and its evolved form is Bastiodon.
Information[edit]
Shieldon is a Pokémon that lived in jungles over 100 million years ago. It is known for its outstandingly hard facial hide. Shieldon habitually polishes its face by rubbing it against tree trunks. This armored face also allows it to eat berries and grass without having to fight for it. However, Shieldon is vulnerable from behind. Its fossil, the Armor Fossil, was apparently dug out of a layer of clay older than anyone knows.
It evolves into Bastiodon at Level 30.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
In Pokémon: Pearl Version, Armor Fossils could be dug out of the Underground. They could also be found there in Platinum, but the fossil would only appear instead of the Skull Fossil if the player had an ID Number ending in an odd digit. The fossils could be revived at the Oreburgh Mining Museum in all of the versions. In Black and White, the Armor Fossil along with all of the other fossils from the first four generations could be received from a worker at Twist Mountain at random on a daily basis. The fossils could be revived at the Nacrene Museum.
Other Games[edit]
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Shieldon could be recruited at the seventh through eleventh basement floors of Crystal Cave. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it was found at Peril Cliffs. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, it appeared at Daybreak Ruins and the Fire Temple. Shieldon also appeared in Pokémon Rumble at Fiery Furnace.
Other Appearances[edit]
