Ice Hockey is a NES version of the sport.
Gameplay
Ice Hockey has both one and two player modes. Players can choose between six different teams based on different countries. The uniforms are different, but no team is better than another. Players can choose between period lengths of seven, ten, or fifteen minutes. Players can also choose whether they want their team members to be light, medium, or heavy.
The player is able to control one player on their team at a time. The basic rules of hockey are the same for the most part. However, somethings have been omitted. The referee will not call a penalty for being offsides or for a bodycheck. However, player's will be penalized for icing and fighting.
Legacy
One of 9-Volt and 18-Volt's games in WarioWare: Twisted! is based on Ice Hockey.
Ports/Remakes
- Ice Hockey was ported to the Virtual Console in 2006.
