Meditite is a yoga-practicing monkey-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. Its evolved form is Medicham.

Information

Meditite is a Pokémon that engaged in daily yoga workouts and spends most of its time meditating to heighten its spiritual power, usually in mountains. They undertake rigorous mental training, but Meditite usually wind up losing their focus at some point during their meditations, which makes their training never end. Another aspect of Meditite's training is minimal eating, as it usually lives off of just one berry per day. They never skip their daily training sessions, and Meditite continue to improve their spiritual energies until they can levitate.

It evolves into Medicham at Level 37.

In Pokémon: Ruby and Sapphire Versions, Meditite was commonly found at Mt. Pyre and rarely appeared at Victory Road. In Diamond and Pearl, it was found somewhat commonly at Routes 208, 210, 211, 216 and 217, Mt. Coronet and Acuity Lakefront (daytime only). In Platinum, it only appeared at Routes 210, 211 and 216 and Mt. Coronet.

In HeartGold and SoulSilver, it could appear at Sprout Tower, Burned Tower and Bell Tower when Sinnoh Sound was playing on the radio. • In the Pokémon anime, Meditite was featured as Shauna's main Pokémon in several episodes of the Hoenn series. During the Sinnoh series, a Meditite was shown as part of Maylene's team. She initially had trouble syncing with it, which was part of the reason Paul was able to defeat her, but it did better in her later battles although it was still defeated by Ash's Staravia during their gym battle.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Meditite was featured during the Diamond/Pearl arc was one of Maylene's main Pokémon.

Trivia

  • Its name is a play on "meditate", possibly combined with "tyke" (due to its youthful appearance).
