Trubbish is a living garbage bag Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Garbodor.

Information

They were created from a chemical reaction that resulted from a combination of garbage bags with industrial sludge. Trubbish prefers unsanitary environments. They belch gas which can put those who inhale it to sleep for a week. Trubbish evolves into Garbodor at Level 36.

Appearances

Mainstream Games

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, it is found uncommonly at Routes 5 and 16.

Other Games

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Trubbish was found at the tower area of Firebreathing Mountain. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, it appeared in a back alley of Cove Town and could be befriended by catching it in a chase.

Other Appearances

Other Media

  • In the Pokémon anime, Trubbish was featured in an episode where a group of kindergarten students befriended one. Their teacher wanted to get rid of a the Trubbish because of its species' tendency to eat toys, but she changed her mind after Trubbish saved the children from their collapsing base.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Trubbish was featured in one chapter of the Black/White arc as one of the main Pokémon belonging to Geoff, the president of the Battle Company who posed as a janitor on the Skyarrow Bridge. The Trubbish naturally helped him with his janitorial work and in battle, its stench drove most Pokémon away, although Black's Tepig was able to defeat it quickly once it clogged its nose with Geoff's own cleaning supplies.

Trivia

  • Its name is a combination of "trash" and "rubbish".
