Ilyana is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. She was a mage with strange health problems, and was frail and sickly.
Background
Ilyana 's most common symptoms were great hunger pains. Ilyana usually ate about five helpings of food, but remained at the same light weight. Her hunger would quickly return after eating, and if she was not fed soon she would pass out for a while. When she lived in her hometown, the people there were able to take care of her. Ilyana eventually set off on her own, but she was all alone and could not find work. Luckily, a traveling caravan of merchants led by Muston found her by the side of the road and saved her life. She began traveling with them afterwards.
Four years after she met Muston's group, Ilyana was separated from the merchants near Gallia during the war between Crimea and Daein. Daein soldiers found Ilyana and accused her of being a Crimean refugee. They drafted Ilyana into their forces and threatened to kill her if she refused. Ilyana then joined the Daein soldiers in an attack on a fortress where the Greil Mercenaries were stationed in "Chapter 8: Hope and Despair". However, after talking to Ike and learning that Muston's merchants were now traveling with the Greil Mercenaries, she switched sides to help the mercenaries. Even though Ike noted that she seemed to be sick from the rain, Ilyana insisted that she could help in the battle.
Ilyana stayed with the Greil Mercenaries for the remainder of her war. She was noted for her eating habits and became notorious among the men for luring men into buying her food with her looks in order to ease her hunger pains, but then she would not remember their names afterwards. After the war, Ilyana left with the merchants to travel to Daein, and she hoped that they had packed enough food.

In the next conversation, Lucia tries to have Ilyana undergo running exercises and after Ilyana is tired out, Lucia suggests a water break but Ilyana instead wants a meal similar to the last one. Lucia agrees but says she'll have to run for it. In the final conversation, Ilyana comes to Lucia starving after having five helpings of food. Lucia realizes that something is really wrong with Ilyana, but she decides not to abandon Ilyana and instead to help her. In the second conversation, Ilyana compliments Mordecai's strength as he lifts crates and asks her how he could carry all those. In the final conversation, Mordecai is impressed by all the food Ilyana had eaten, but she was still skinny. In the second conversation, Ilyana comes to Zihark while hungry again, and they discuss the large amount of food Ilyana ate at dinner. He then decides to leave, and Ilyana asks him if he forgot something, but he does not think he did and leaves. Ilyana notes that Zihark was the only person who didn't share food with her. In the final conversation, Zihark tells Ilyana that he knows about how she always lures men in with her cute face and then has them by her food but doesn't remember their names afterwards. Ilyana says its because she falls into comas when she gets too hungry, but Zihark tells her she should at least remember their names if she has ulterior motives. Ilyana apologizes, and Zihark decides to buy her dinner because he feels bad about preaching to her. Ilyana then finds she can't remember her name, but Zihark then tells her.
