Swadloon is a leaf-covered insectoid Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the middle form of Sewaddle's evolutionary line and evolves into Leavanny.

Information

Swadloon evolves from Sewaddle at Level 20. They wrap themselves up in leaves for protection from the cold. Swadloon usually stay on the move and eat the leaves in forests. The forests in which they live are known for superior foliage because of the nutrients that they make from fallen leaves which enrich the plant life.

Swadloon evolves into Leavanny through happiness.

Appearances

Mainstream Games

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Swadloon are uncommonly found at Route 6 and more commonly appear at Pinwheel Forest (dark grass only) and Lostlorn Forest.

Other Appearances

Other Media

  • In the Pokémon anime, Ash's Sewaddle evolved into Swadloon during his gym battle against Burgh.

Trivia

  • Its name seems to be a combination of "swaddle" (to wrap a baby in clothes, which more accurately applies to Sewaddle) and "cocoon".
