Leavanny is a bipedal insect-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the third and final phase of Sewaddle's evolutionary line.

Information[edit]

Leavanny evolves from Swadloon when it levels up with a high amount of happiness. They are known as being very motherly Pokémon, apparently regardless of gender. Leavanny use fermenting leaves to keep their eggs warm. After their eggs hatch into Sewaddle, they make warm wrappings for it from nearby leaves. They have also been known to weave clothing for any small Pokémon that they come across. Leavanny uses the cutters on its arm and sticky silk in order to weave these clothes.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Leavanny have a rare chance of appearing within shaking grass at Route 6 and Lostlorn Forest.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, it could be found in the treetops of Soothing Shore and World Axel's second basement floor. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Leavanny appeared at the Verdant Court in the Arbor Area and was befriended through battle.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, Leavanny was shown as one of Burgh's Pokémon. He used it to save Ash and the Sewaddle that would later become Ash's, and the Leavanny even helped to mend the Sewaddle's leaf hood. During the gym battle, the Leavanny defeated Swadloon but was beaten by Pikachu. Another Leavanny appeared belonging to a trainer named Luke, and this one helped to sew costumes for a movie.
