Farore is the Oracle of Secrets who appears in both of the Oracle games with a minor role primarily connected to the game-linking process. Another version of her also appeared in The Minish Cap.
Background
Oracle Games
In both Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, Farore had a shop set up within the country's respective Maku Tree. This area was called the Hall of Secrets. Her primary purpose was in a linked game, and whenever Link brought her a secret, she would give shape to it. This essentially allowed Link to transfer over something he had unlocked in the other game using a password. Farore has the secrets compiled in a book called Farore's Memory. She completes the trinity of oracles (with Din and Nayru) but does nothing of storyline significance.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, Farore appears with Din and Nayru as lodgers looking for a home in Hyrule Castle Town. Over the course of the game Link can show them to a house to move into, but only two houses are available in the game so one of the girls is left homeless at the game's end. If Link gives Farore a home, she will give him a charm whenever he has an empty bottle to hold it, her charm temporarily turning Link's tunic purple and boosting his attack and defense at the same time.
Her figurine says nothing about her background (unlike her companions) except that she is a helpful person who is bothered when people take advantage of her.
Trivia
- Farore was initially intended to be featured in a third Oracle game which was tentatively titled Mystical Seed of Courage in Japan. The game was scrapped, which is why Farore ended up with only a minimal role in the Oracle games. The housing situation in The Minish Cap (only two of the three girls can get houses) seems to be an injoke referring to this.
