Wrecking Crew is an action game released by Nintendo for the NES.

Gameplay

In Wrecking Crew, the player controls Mario. Through out the level, there are various objects that must be destroyed while avoiding enemies. Once all of the objects are destroyed, the player moves to the next level.

The game also featured a Design Mode that allowed players to create four custom levels. However, without the Famicom Data Recorder, they could not be saved.

Legacy

One of 9-Volt's games in WarioWare: Twisted is based on Wrecking Crew. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Eggplant Man (one of the enemies from Wrecking Crew) is available as a trophy.

Sequels

Wrecking Crew was followed by the Super Nintendo game Wrecking Crew '98.
