Super Famicom Wars is the last installment of the Famicom Wars series to be released on a home console (until the spinoff series Battalion Wars). The game is notable for being the first to include four player battles as well as the factions Green Earth and Blue Moon. It was exclusively released through the Nintendo Power system in Japan. The game was rereleased on the Japanese Wii Virtual Console in February 2010, Wii U Virtual Console in October 2013 and the 3DS Virtual Console in 2016.
