Baseball is a NES game based on the sport. It was one of the early titles for the Famicom and a launch title for the NES.

Gameplay

Player's start out as the batter. The running is taken care of automatically. After three outs, the player takes the field. The player starts out as the pitcher. If the player hits the ball, the player must use the fielders to catch the ball and tag the opposing player's out.

The game has a 1 Player Mode to play against the computer as well as a 2 Player Mode for a human opponent.

The Japanese version has different uniform colors than the American version. The Japanese uniforms represent the Yomiuri Giants, Hiroshima Carp, Chunichi Dragons, Yakult Swallows, Yokohama BayStars, and Hanshin Tigers. The American uniforms represent the Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Kansas City Royals, and New York Yankees.
