Master Yoshi's grandson. Master Yoshi adopted Yami Boshi after his parents were killed at the age of 4, orphaning the young Boshi. Yami Boshi grows jealous when Master Yoshi finds Yami Yoshi's egg in a forest and the Master starts to train Yami Yoshi more than him. He eventually battles Yami Yoshi in the final round of 1998's Yoshi Tournament, where Yami Boshi attempted to use a Nuclear Egg on Yami Yoshi only to be blasted away after Yami Yoshi countered it with an Absorption Egg. Having survived the blast, and wanting revenge, Yami Boshi joins the MPVP.

In Member OG 5: Secret of the Ooze, Yami Boshi attacks Yami Yoshi for the MPVP on a desert island- the same island Boshi had been trapped on after his last battle with Yami Yoshi. Eventually Yami Boshi once again attempts to use the Nuclear Egg on Yami Yoshi, and Yami retorted by once again absorbing it into an Absorption Egg. However, Yami Yoshi accidentally tripped and dropped the Absorption Egg so it exploded immediately and incinerated the entire island. Yami Yoshi is known to have to survive the blast, but Yami Boshi has not been seen since.
