At first Salama was a thin and powerful man, and a proud member of the Navy. He was a favorite of the cold-hearted Captain Duck-Hand Frzlngd. The GCPA Prequel showed him as he stalked a new pirate crew, the Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada.
However, after Que Pasa at his submarine, Salama underwent a mental breakdown. He became fat and lazy, was fired from the navy and wound up joining the pirates of the Golden Cheesecake. They mostly kept him in a cage to prevent him from eating everything in sight. The pirates later sold his soul to Clyde Worthen, turning him into Demon Salama.
His years of training under Clyde made him into a masochistic, anorexic and muscular fighter who was obedient to an extreme fault. He also came to be involved in a homosexual relationship with Shiny Stallone. He was eventually bought back by Scruffy in the GCPA Finale. Abilities[edit]
In his original incarnation, Salama is constantly hungry for food and will eat almost anything and everything in his path. The pirates also sometimes ride him like an animal.
After returning from Clyde's, Salama is now a powerful judo fighter with a variety of other disturbing superpowers. Because of his great weight loss, he can stretch out his flabs of extra skin as if he were a rubber man. Additionally, although he can still eat anything, his bulimia powers will always cause him to vomit it all back at the enemy.
