Que Pasa
Full Name: Que Pasa
Birthdate: 1989
Species: Human
Nationality: United States of America
Creator: GORE-ILLA
First Appearance: (As radioactive archeologist) Insanity Factor; (as Que Pasa) The Adventures of Scruffy and Que Pasa: Rise of Gorenicus
Background[edit]
Once he was one in a band of traveling radioactive archeologists who defeated the dark lord Morgorrrn. After his fellow archeologists moved on to become professional figure skaters, he continued to work as a radioactive archeologist until he discovered the Millennium Nose, which turned him into Que Pasa. Que Pasa befriended a young Monkeyman Scruffy and helped him to found the Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada. Thus Que Pasa became the blindly loyal first mate of the crew, known for his overall stupidity and blunt violence, along with his love of Batman. Que Pasa has formed a tense rivalry with fellow crewmate No Name in a manner similar to GORE-ILLA's rivalry with Luigi of the Pipes. He and Karl were also potential parents of Skanky Siren's baby at one point until the baby was written away and explained that neither of the three were the mother or father.
Que Pasa was also called into action to serve as acting captain several times during Scruffy's absences. First during the Bronze Cobra Conspiracy arc, he took command after Scruffy went undercover with the Conspiracy. Que Pasa officially appointed himself acting captain during the 411 series with Edwin as his right-hand man who was always tired of his antics. Neither was finished (thus no one can really remember the parts of the stories that weren't written), but Que Pasa's less-then-phenomenal leadership abilities (as well as apparently bringing the crew to bankruptcy in the latter series) led to Scruffy announcing the captain's games in the GCPA Finale to find someone to succeed him as captain once he left. Feeling dejected and unrespected, Que Pasa then fled the pirate crew to in the dead of the night to start his own, although no one wanted to come with him. He revived Dark Siren in and convinced her to join him in his scheme to start the Que Pasa Cheesecake Pirate Armada.
His Batman Gambit reached its final phases at Count Gonad's ball. He and Dark Siren had infiltrated the ranks of the World-Mucking Federation while planning to betray and overthrow both Gonad and Saget to become king and queen of the pirate world. Together they retrieved a piece of gold from Mr. T's inert body for use in slaying Saget. But at the party, Que Pasa's doubts regarding Siren and Dark Siren surfaced, as well as his wondering if he could ever overcome the curse of being comic relief to find a true romance. He wound up teaming up with Siren and her new love interest Keanu Reeves against Dave Coulier (infected by a piece of Saget's soul) and Dark Siren. In the end Dark Siren had betrayed him while Siren had chosen another man as well as not remembering Que Pasa's name. This drove him over the edge, and he set out to make a heroic sacrifice by taking down Saget himself, Batman-style. He succeeded in destroying Saget's body, but Saget's form of the Omega Beam struck him through the heart at which point his body fell into the plot hole created by Saget's demise, with Scruffy and Siren the only witnesses. After the plot hole was destroyed, Que Pasa's skeleton was left behind.
In actuality, his soul wound up bouncing across time until it was caught and restored by The Guz in the End/Beginning of Time. Que Pasa convinced The Guz to create the world to set off the cyclical time loop of the GCPA world, and his body was restored at the same time, as was Skanky Siren's. After some time there, they wound up finding a plot hole that they hoped would return them to their own time; it did, but separated them at the same time while erasing Siren's memories of the beginning of the Earth. Que Pasa saved Stampede and White Panther from a mental death trap, then used their help to save Scruffy from Saget's death trap, at which point they were all able to reform the crew. Eventually, Scruffy, Que Pasa and Lupine banded together to destroy Saget's finalest form, Shine Saget. Following the collapse and reformation of reality, the GCPA reassembled. Que Pasa gladly returned to his post as first mate, learning to appreciate his friends more than ever. Skanky Siren was preparing to leave the crew, perhaps forever, at the same time, so Que Pasa mustered up the courage to say goodbye.
He had descendants in both futures; Evil von Pasa was his son in the first bad future that was seen, and Cory Pasa was his descendant (possibly son or grandson) who became new captain of the Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada in the epilogue.
Abilities[edit]
The Millennium Nose allows Que Pasa to shift his nose into a cannon, although in a confrontation with Nan Deska it was revealed that the Millennium Nose had much more potential which has yet to be explored. Que Pasa is also a master at dueling with pens and pencils, plus he can eat anything, but not in an annoying way like Scooby-Doo. His fists have been often shown as being akin to a superpower.
Other Versions[edit]
Nan Deska, Que Pasa's Bizarro counterpart who is superintelligent and pure evil. Nan Deska merely poses as an idiot to hide his true genius.
Trivia[edit]
In Other Media[edit]
Que Pasa appeared in The Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada Movie: Gorilla of Fate as well as the "Mechanical Ape" music video. In the latter music video, Que Pasa is in command due to the captain's absence and is featured in an intense action sequence at the video's end. He will also appear in The Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada Movie II: The Secret of The Guz with a mostly minor role. He also is a main character of the GCPA TV series, having tossed into the role of acting captain after Scruffy (along with Lupine, No Name and Siren) have gone missing.
In all appearances he is portrayed by John Murro, aka GORE-ILLA, his creator.
Quotes[edit]
"I propose we shoot the hell out of it."
"Hey, does anyone remember that show Street Sharks? Y'know, the one with the guys that had shark heads for some reason?" -Que Pasa, while caught in a tornado
"Done like dinner."
Whoopi Goldberg: Ah, Captain Monkeyman Scruffy and First Mate Que Pasa. It will be a pleasure to seperate your vital organs from the rest of your body.
Que Pasa: I already sold most of mine for video game money though.
-An exchange from The OnGoing Adventures of the GCPA
Que Pasa: Really? That's not what I wrote on my hands. (holds out his hands, where he's written down reminders of all his personal info)
Scruffy?: Let me see that. ...These are all wrong. First of all you refer to me as "Monkeyman Scruffy" but my name is Apeperson Ruffy. Golden Cheesecake Pirate Armada? We're navy officers on the Goldendon Cheesecake, we hunt pirates. So many mistakes here... and it says here we live on some place called Earth, but you know this is... BIZARRO EARTH!!!
Que Pasa: Really? Well if someone said it, it must be true...
-The GCPA Sequel.
Que Pasa: I'm the first mate. I've got dibs on best man, and hopefully one day I'll be prince of the universe. As a dark overlord- er, pirate captain in training, I feel like it's my kinda responsibility to keep that close personal touch that Scruffy doesn't. It only makes sense. He's the stern and cold father who keeps his kid at arm's length. That makes me like the cool uncle, the one who isn't afraid to touch the children.
