Video Games[edit]
- In the 'Super Smash Bros. series, Abomasnow has appeared as one of the Pokémon that can be summoned at random from the Poké Ball item starting in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. When summoned, it will first surround itself with a freezing whirlwind in demonstration of the Blizzard attack. It will then dash to the side in an attempt to Ice Punch an opponent. After doing this several times, it will disappear. Abomasnow has also been represented by a trophy in the 3DS/Wii U game and a Novice-rank Primary Spirit (which comes with a fire weakness) in Ultimate. When fought against in a Spirit battle, Abomasnow's Spirit would possess a white-furred Donkey Kong, have a weakness against fire attacks, fight above a frozen floor and use a Poké Ball containing Abomasnow.
In Other Media[edit]
- In the Pokémon anime, Abomasnow has mostly made minor appearances, although it was featured as one of Candice's Pokémon.
- In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Abomasnow was shown as part of Candice's roster during the Diamond/Pearl arc and sparred with Platina's Pokémon.
Trivia[edit]
- Its name is a combination of "abominable" (in reference to the abominable snowman that it is based on) combined with "snow".
- Abomasnow appears to be based on the abominable snowman (also known as the yeti, Bigfoot or Sasquatch) combined with an evergreen tree, which is associated with the same climate.
