Alomomola is a benevolent sunfish-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games.
Information[edit]
Alomomola spend their time floating through the open sea. Its body is surrounded by a special membrane with the ability to heal wounds. Due to this, Alomomola usually seek out wounded Pokémon. When they find one, they will heal it and return it to shore.

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions. Alomomola was commonly found by surfing on rippling water on Routes 4, 17 and 18, Driftveil City and P2 Laboratory.

Other Media[edit]
- In the Pokémon anime, Alomomola made a cameo appearance in the first episode of the Unova series, jumping out of the water by a pier. It was primarily notable as the first Pokémon Ash saw in Unova.
Trivia[edit]
- It is based on the ocean sunfish, and its name is a play on "mola mola" (the Japanese scientific name for the ocean sunfish), possibly combined with "mom" due to its nurturing habits.
