Antonio Guster is a pilot in the F-Zero series who was previously the partner of Samurai Goroh.

Background

Originally Antonio Guster was a longtime friend of Samurai Goroh. After Goroh was dishonorably discharged from the Internova Police Force, he turned to Antonio Guster for information to help with his new bounty hunting career. Antonio quickly took up Goroh on his offer of a new partnership in a career of thievery and bounties. They worked together for three years and their close relationship often got them compared to the Fukikakes, though never to their faces. There was no bounty that these two would turn down, no matter what the creature was.

There partnership reached its end when a huge bounty was placed on Guster's head by the Galactic Federation. When Samurai Goroh found out about that, he tried to turn him in. When he found out what Goroh had done, Guster swore revenge against his old friend. For that reason he entered the F-Zero races so he could humiliate his old partner in front of millions of F-Zero fans.

F-Zero GP Legend

In the anime-inspired games F-Zero: GP Legend and Climax, Antonio Guster is the younger brother of Lisa Brilliant. In GP Legend, he tricks Samurai Goroh by poisoning him. Antonio is forced to eventually relent and give Goroh the antidote after losing a race to him.

The Green Panther was pilfered from an intergalactic group of bandits back when Goroh and Guster were still partners. It was originally used as Goroh's spare machine, but was taken by Antonio after the two split ways. The machine houses two made-to-specs RS engines with advanced power capabilities that were designed especially for racing. The machine is valuable, but has major drawback in the amount of technical control from the pilot in order to compensate for its poor grip.

Trivia

• It is possible he is the uncle of Daigoroh, but only if Lisa Brilliant exists in the main timeline of games. This may be evidenced by the fact that Daigoroh modeled the Silver Rat after the Green Panther.
• According to Antonio's victory interview in F-Zero GX, he has a mohawk. He is also surprised to discover he has fans.
