Deino is a small, blind dragon-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first form in a three-step evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Zweilous and Hydreigon.
Information[edit]
Deino have a tendency to bit everything and are not picky eaters. Because of this, it is dangerous to approach one carelessly. It is uncertain whether they have eyes that are blocked by the hair-like structure on their head or if they do not have eyes at all, but the final effect is still blindness. As they cannot see, Deino tackle and bite in order to discover their surroundings. Deino's body winds up being covered in wounds as a result. Deino evolves into Zweilous at Level 50.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, they were uncommonly found at Victory Road.
Trivia[edit]
- Deino's name is a play on "dino" (due to its resemblance to a dinosaur) with "ein" (the German word for "one", with its evolved forms carrying on the theme of German numbers).
